I’m a writer, bookworm, night owl and new mama (to little Keaton Daniel Goodfellow Robertson), currently on maternity leave from my job as communications manager for a library system. Over the next several months (my remaining amount of mat leave), I plan to re/learn some traditional and/or domestic skills: sewing (even though it usually makes me want to throw the fabric and sewing machine across the room in frustration), knitting, crocheting and other needlework (even though it usually gives me a backache), canning/preserving and baking (even though I usually make a big mess), drawing (even though I still draw like I’m 10), and whatever else I may want to torture myself with. Along the way I’ll also talk about writing, the books I’m reading or plan to read, and whatever other assorted thoughts happen to cross my brain. Enjoy the ride.
